Avg August High: ~104°F (40°C)
Attendees: 30,000+
Monorail: Westgate Station at LVCC

🔥 August heat warning: Las Vegas in August averages 104°F (40°C). The LVCC is mid-Strip with a monorail station — use it. Walking outside in August midday is genuinely miserable.

🎩 Coming from Black Hat? Black Hat runs August 1–6 at Mandalay Bay — DEF CON follows immediately at the LVCC. Many attendees do both in one trip. If so, consider switching hotels mid-week or booking a mid-Strip hotel that works for both venues.
